The Articles Of Confederation Essay - 1332 Words

This document was written in the 18th century specifically during the Federalist Era. It was written 18 years after America won independence from England on July 4, 1776. This lead to the creation of the â€Å"Articles of Confederation† which were made primarily for the people because they feared central government having all power. Then at The Annapolis Convention (1786) is where the groundworks of â€Å"The U.S. Constitution† were discussed to replace the â€Å"Articles of Confederation†. The following year the Constitution was composed on September 17, 1787. The idea of the constitution was seen as ownership papers for citizens. The constitution provided the â€Å"checks-and-balances† idea which limited powers between the three branches created: Congress, Supreme Court, and Executive. As well as provided a â€Å"Bill of Rights†, which James Madison promised to the people in order to get the Constitution ratified. The executive branch lead to the position of a President and for the President to make appointments and treaties. So as a result of the powers of the Executive branch, it lead to the Election of 1788 and 1792 where the Commander-in-chief- was elected unanimously by the Electoral College in both elections. Since the President felt uneducated, he created Presidential Cabinet to help surround himself with expert advisors. Answer: Executive Summary This management report will be prepared after thorough research and will aim at promoting an appropriate compliance management system for an organisation. The main aim of preparing this report is to present a suitable compliance management plan. Founded in the year 1924 in Sydney, Australia, Woolworths Limited manages some of the most recognised and trusted brands of Australia. The organisation requires a compliance management system so as to maintain support with local compliance and investigation, design reviews and corporate audits. This report carefully and clearly outlines the type of compliance management system that will be most suitable for Woolworths Limited, the main aims and objectives that the system will seek to accomplish, how this system will be established in the organisation, the methodology which eill be used to moni tor the system, the technique of evaluation, etc. Establishment of System A Compliance Management System is defined as a system which enables as an organisation to maintain support with the local compliance and investigation, corporate audits and design reviews (Tarantino, 2008). In addition to being a planned and organized effort to guide the institutions compliance activities, a written program represents an essential source document that will serve as a training and reference tool for all employees. A well planned, implemented, and maintained compliance program will prevent or reduce regulatory violations, provide cost efficiencies, and is a sound business step. Compliance audit: A compliance audit is an independent review of an institutions compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations and adherence to internal policies and procedures. The audit helps management ensure ongoing compliance and identify compliance risk conditions. It complements the institutions internal monitoring system. The Board should determine the scope of an audit, and the frequency with which audits are conducted. The organisation for which a Compliance Management System has to be established is Woolworths Limited.
